Another day under the Peach-tree’s

Another day under the Peach-tree’s
After having, a little rain late yesterday the temperature dropped making the earlier morning a great morning for having that earlier cup of coffee.
As I sat there enjoying the cool breeze and hearing some sounds of thunder in the far distance, the coffee sure tasted good, “almost went for a second cup”.

I  reposition my chair so that I could get a good look at the garden that the neighbors have been working hard on this summer, trying to keep it looking good and producing the items that they want……..   Oh, look there, a little Humming bird gathering its morning nectar, and over there near the old trashcan, two Cardinals were looking for some treats on the ground. Look like a male and a female working together… “Just the way that God had planned.”
Then a Blue jay swooped down to see what he could find, nothing as I could see. “He will get his later”… I can’t let this story end without mentioning the good sounds coming from the Morning Doves. There were a pair of them running on the roof of the neighbors house, looked like it might be a mating thing, one was all puffed up and the other was slim and trimmed. This is a start for a great day.

While sitting there and enjoying the sights and sounds of the early morning, the little woman came out with Chiquita the Chihuahua, she really loves running in the grass…. “So does Chiquita ha ha”.   The little woman went in after the little morning bugs started eating on her she can’t stand that.
The thunder is getting louder now; just maybe we will have more of the much-needed rain… Wasn’t long after the little woman went inside she came back out calling for me to come in for my breakfast was ready. Just then, I noticed the neighborhood squirrel coming down out of the Peach-tree and jumping on the wooden fence from the Peach-tree’s heading for the sunflowers that the neighbor has growing in the garden. Sure, wish that I had a larger camera because there were some good shots across the fence. Even a starling was near by. The limbs of the Peach-tree were framing him as he sat there on the fence.
I would have chosen to go walking this morning; however, that the 80/80 rule was in place, even as I said earlier the temperature was cooler. It with the humidity was at the 80 mark. I will go later today even if the temperature goes up the humidity will drop low enough for a good walk.
To bring you up to speed the little woman had chemo yesterday and her markers were still okay, there was suggesting that maybe she should try using the chemo pill… Do any of you know about this pill? Should she take pill or not? In her mind, she thinks that it would better to keep having the IV system.
Till we meet out under the old Peach-tree.

The end of Life

The end of Life
The end of life, it was a good one; I have lived it to the end. Yes, what a life it was, then the wind and the rain, oh how I loved the rain. Cooling to the touch, washing of the dust and such the there was the wind that blew me around to dry me off, oh how I enjoyed my life.
Eventually I knew that it would come to an end I thought that maybe, just maybe I could have enjoyed life a little longer. I now just hang here waiting on the next strong wind to come by and whisk me away. At least I am not lying the on the ground where people can walk all over me, as my friends and neighbors are, laying there turning a deep brown. Oh what a life I had, I cannot complain as I said laying there on the ground are my friends neighbors obvious they did not last as long.
One of the things that I will miss the most is that old squirrel that would come by and gather up his breakfast a peach or two. Then out nowhere came this old man who would just sit there for hours, I guess he enjoyed the wind too or should I say the breeze. What a life it was hanging here amongst all these friends and neighbors of mine oh well life comes and goes. I wonder how long that old man will hang around.

If "One" can do it, what about one "Hundred"

If “One”, can do it, What about one “Hundred”

What does this mean, if one can do it, what about one hundred?  Just a question to ponder on, I know that we all have ask ourselves this many times over and probably will for years to come. I think that the time has come for me, so I am asking you to join up with me in spreading these words around if you care too…. “I will never know will I?”

The way that I see things, it is not just one person that is responsible for the mess that we are in, where do we get the right too be pointing blame at anyone person. A few quotes are needed here, “My fellow Americans”  “Let me be very clear”, “Read my lips” “God Bless America”, these are just a few, a very few quotes that we have heard over the years. Smooth talking, good looking, and a person that speaks well. They all made promises that we as Americans knew deep down in our hearts they would not, could not keep nevertheless we listened and voted for them.

However, when one person can stand up and shout out, “I don’t like this, if you don’t change it, I will sue” Then when one hundred people stands up, “and shouts out, we don’t like this,” if you do not change it, we will argue about it. Has there ever been a large group threatens to sue too make changes in this country? Seems like the lawmakers, City, State, and Federal governments are more afraid of just “ONE” than they are of “ONE HUNDRED”. Are you getting picture now?

Our founding Fathers, which by the way were immigrants; put together a list of laws for this country live by, for over two hundred years we have been doing so. It took thousands, and thousands of different nationalities working together to make this a great country. There will always be immigrants coming to America because of whom we were that is what I said “WERE” we still could be the greatest country in the world if we would only accept the blame for what has happened to us. Again, if only that we would accept the blame for what has happened to us. Yes, were the ones to blame for our problems? We stood up at the rallies, listened on TV, and followed the trains (for those who can remember) they were good-looking smooth talking promise making individuals some were just trash talkers. We listened, we voted, and then we complained, because of what was going on, just one broken promise after broken promise. We still do the same today, so it is no wonder that we are in the mess that we are in today.  When just one person can stand up voice his opinion a change is made, just one person had God removed from the schools etc. Just one person, made a big difference in the way that we celebrate our holidays, just one person made a threat and won.

Just one person has almost single handedly turn this country around. However, that person was not alone. We the hundred did not stand up long enough, we gave in. so when we want to place the blame somewhere, just look in the mirror and say thank you.

It is no wonder that we are not liked too well around the world, we do not like ourselves very much, we do not think of ourselves as being the good servants of our land.

“If you are happy with what you have, then you can keep it”
Sound familiar, and then the best thing for us is just too be quiet and fade away with the dust that is going to be kicked up when the rest of us stand up and making changes in this country.

How does the saying go?  “If you can’t lead or follow, then get the hell out of the way.”

Which group will you be a part of The “One person” or the “One hundred?”

An old man told you this

Hope in the midst of Grief

Hope in the midst of Grief
By Martha Bomar

This was a poem that our Pastor read as part of the 4 of July service at church today. I thought that you might just enjoy it.

In the midst of a world filled heartache and pain,
Where violence and crime may strike anytime, anywhere,
Many people are filled with despair.
Massive buildings burned to ashes, nothing left but a heap
of rubble and ashes several stories deep.
Thousands are lost, hundreds seek in vain, but only the
Ashes of those lives could remain.

Where was God when this happens? Didn’t He even care?
How could He allow this? It doesn’t seem fair.
Where was His mercy in this tragic event?
Can He hear our heart’s cry, our fearful lament?

Then with pain in His voice:
“My child, I was absent because that was your choice.
          You wanted me out of your Government and schools;
You claimed My commandments were only for fools.

           You’ve become your own idol, self- sufficient and proud;
Refused to let students speak my son’s name out loud.
“You ask, Where was God?”…but am I to blame,
When only in cursing you called out my name?

America, America, I’ve blessed you and yet, in times of
           Prosperity you seem to forget.

You’ve made a mockery of my mercy and grace,
rejected My son, Even laughed in his face.

           Humble yourselves seek My face, and pray;
Turn from your wickedness and walk my way,
then I will hear, and I will heal your land.
Once again My protection will cover your land.

           Spiritual darkness increases, but hope is not lost;
To save you and protect you, My son paid the cost.

Oh America, America, return unto me,
I am the only hope in the mist of your grief.
Look up America, your redemption draws near.
Soon, in the clouds, our Savior will appear.

Then together with those who have passed on before,
We’ll join Him in the clouds, to live forevermore.

It is coming

It has been a long time coming but we are going to get it very soon. What is coming you ask? Well as you read this, it will become clear to you. “Let me be clear about this” you will understand and most of all you may not like it. Maybe some will, “I won’t” matter of fact I can almost feel it now.
I was thinking about this early in the morning, drinking my first cup of coffee and letting the thoughts run through my pea size brain. At least I can say that I do have one, more than I can say about some people.

This started many, many years ago, so we should not blame our sitting President. However, he will get some of the blame not doubt about it.
He has the power to correct what is coming if should choose do so. Nevertheless, why should he, it will be in his favor to let things to continue as they are. That big smile on his face will be bigger than ever when he is finished.  Now you are wonder if the pea size brain is really working, “it is.”

Many years ago, there was a statement made about our great country, how can the United States be brought down to their knees without firing a shot. Will here is what was said, you must mess up their economy, destroy the things that keep them moving. That is the transportation, the factories, the electrical grid, their water supply. Without these things, the people will not know what to do. So far, the economy has gone to hell, the factories either have closed or have moved to other countries. I may be wrong on some of the things that I just wrote, but I am not far off.

Our sitting President is running this country with Chicago style politics. You want something done, what are you willing to give up for it. For an example, border protection, you give me what I want and I will see that the borders are protected. “Give him the amnesty bill for the illegal immigration” he will make the borders safe. This is what he wants. Another example is the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico; Give him the “Cap and Trade bill” The Gulf States will get all the help that they need for the clean up. He also wanted a black person to fill his vacant Senate seat, well now there is a war going on in Chicago about this. The Governor, should I say the ex-governor is fighting back. The person that this President wanted was a black female who by the way is not black at all, but she is an Iranian and is now on his staff. “How about those apples” Many who are in his administration have foreign names; there is nothing wrong with having a black President as long as he is fair about the way that he handles things. Just as all the black Governors and the black Mayors were while they were in office. After electing the first black Mayor,   everyone thought, that world would end; however, it did not, the same was for the first black Governor. Over the years, there have been many; some were good some were bad. Everyone survived. The bad black officials, they went to jail, the good ones moved on to higher positions. This President should be able to handle all criticism that is thrown at him. He should make something productive out of it, you to live and learn from those remarks.

A good example of this is the ex-Governor of Alaska, was she ever criticized when she ran for Vice-President, look at her now… I know some of you do not like her; anyway, she has jumped on all that criticism and made a name for herself. She is moving and grooving her way forward.

I guess by now you are still wondering what it is that we are going to get; a General just received his the other day.

To keep this short and to the point, ha, ha, I guess that I will tell you. “It is a good old back stabbing in the butt.”

Just think about all the things that we were promised during his campaigning. Compare this to what we have gotten in place of those promises. Nothing, what has happened so far, the economy is in a mess, many Americans have lost their jobs, and the government has taken over many, many of the things that made this country grow, right or wrong, we did grow. So be careful how you bend at the knees, because it is coming.

Oil Oil Oil

Oil here, Oil there, Oil everywhere

Oh my, oh why, I feel like I am gonna cry. That BP man went to watch a boat show. This makes him a bad man; however, the leader of our country went and played golf. I guess it makes him a good guy. All that flying on Air Force One was just too much for him. Maybe he and the mean old BP man should have played around or two on the Gulf Coast. See who could drive the tar balls the furthest.

What was the mean old BP man to do? Was he to be the Johnnie on the spot for 24/7 what difference would it have made? How about the two companies, who built and installed that Blowout Valve, how did they get off without paying anything? You know, Halliburton, Transocean. No one is saying very much about them, why not.

Another thing that we have not seen down there on the Gulf Coast is those do gooders from Hollywood, you know those mobie stars that are quick to help out other countries, but when it comes to helping out their own, they seem to be a little slow at doing so, or just doing nothing. Looks like this time it is doing nothing. Another reason I don’t go to the movies. Oh well, it is going to be a long hot summer don’t you think? I wonder how this oil spill will affect Global Warming.

Just how many more disasters can we take, oil in the gulf, Arizona is on fire more ways than one we have had flooding in places that normally do not flood. Tornadoes tearing up the country, then there is the biggest disaster there in Washington D.C.  Just how much more of this can we really take?

Just an old man running his mouth.

The Valley

Well I made out of the woods, but that old beaten path continues into the valley hiding under the shadows of the mountain. It is a little warmer down here in the valley; however, this old path did not bring me out to where I thought I should be ……. There is a lot of growth covering this old path, but it is still visible. I know that I have what it takes to get out of this valley. Maybe it will be as joyful as being on top of the mountain, and the trip down the old beaten path.

While walking down this old path, knocking down the tall grass and weeds to clear my way I came up on this clearing, I found a great little clear water spring flowing near the old path; it was sure a welcome sight. I was out of water. I did carry an old Army canteen with me when I started the trip up the mountainside. Not much food, a person can find many ways to nourish the body, however, the liquid nourishment that the body needs is something else. I know that I said that I learned how to survive in the woods when I was younger. This old canteen didn’t hold much water; it was empty after the first real day at the top of my mountain. Therefore, relying on my survival skills from many years ago I found water to drink.

Before it gets dark, I must explore for firewood, and other building materials that I need for building a shelter and a campfire. This was going to be my home for a while. Gathering branches and whacking down some tall grass and tree branches that is what I will use for my shelter, and then gathering some stones from the little spring to build a fire ring. “I don’t want to start a big grass fire.”
Now that all that is taking care of, I must sit down near the fire and pray to the Lord up above to keep me safe.

“Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.”

After waking up early, I thought that I would explore the area and look for something to eat. As I was walking along the banks of the little spring, I noticed that it was getting wider and swifter. Therefore, about a mile or so from my little shelter, I started hearing a roaring noise. The little spring had turned into a river, and then the roaring noise that I heard was a small waterfall. Maybe about thirty feet tall, maybe little more or a little less no way of really knowing Still a waterfall, then there was this pond at the bottom, wow! A place to bath in, since it has been awhile. So now what, do I move my little shelter down next to the pond, or walk back and forth? A voice in my head said move the shelter, “So I did.”

Still looking for something to eat, I know that God will not let me go hungry; he made sure that I have plenty of water to drink. “He led me to the spring.” Now he brought me to this pond. There should be fish or whatever there for me to eat.
When I was a young boy and played in the woods, my friends and I would eat the wild watercress, catch crawdads (that is like a crayfish) we would pinch their tails off and cook them on an open fire.
Here at the pond I can find wild berries and such, rig up a trap to catch fish, maybe even a small animal, who knows?

Hanging out here in the valley, I will really find out if I have what it takes. Kind of like being stranded on a deserted island. I will, and I must fine myself, who am I? What do I want? Where do I want to go from here? I will not leave this valley until I get all the answers.
Getting late, I must start a fire, and settle down for the night. Tomorrow will be a new day, new adventure. Sure wish that I had brought something to read, the Bible would have been good. However, I did not plan on such a long journey. Looks like I will be here in this valley for a while, it is quite, peaceful as the trip was coming down on that old beaten path. Just enjoying God’s beauty. Same goes for being on top of the mountain.

“You who hold Great power within you and don't recognize it, you do not yet know the power that is yours. Therefore, you bolster yourself with ego. If you knew the solidity of Who You Really Are, ego would also be recognized for what it is and recognized as being absurd. Who needs a little rubber sword when He holds the mighty sword.”

I threw away that rubber sword a long time ago, and now I have my mighty sword by my side.

“It's not what you are going to do, but it's what you're doing now
that counts.
"I am not afraid to face tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today. My Lord was there”
